Experience

How an engagement with SAC works

What we deliver, how engagements are scoped and staffed, and what your organization owns when the work is finished.

Our work

The work we perform

Strategic Advancement Consulting delivers consulting engagements across four practices — strategy and governance, technology and AI modernization, training and capacity building, and research, evaluation and impact measurement.

Engagements are scoped to a defined problem with defined deliverables and a defined end. Each has a named engagement lead who remains accountable from scoping through closeout, and a team assembled from more than 40 subject-matter experts according to what the scope requires.

The sections below set out the deliverables each practice produces and how engagements are structured.

Delivery approach

How engagements are structured

The sequence varies with scope, but these stages are consistent across every practice.

  1. 01

    Scope

We define the requirement, the deliverables, the acceptance criteria and the end point in writing before work begins.

  2. 02

    Assemble

We form the team from the disciplines the scope actually calls for, led by a named engagement lead who holds delivery accountability throughout.

  3. 03

    Assess

We establish the baseline from evidence — how the organization operates, what the data shows, and what capacity exists to sustain change.

  4. 04

    Deliver

We work in defined increments with review points, so progress is visible and direction can be corrected before the end of the engagement.

  5. 05

    Transfer

We hand over documentation, procedures and training so your organization can operate what we built without continued external support.

Engagement formats

Ways organizations work with us

Defined project engagements

A scoped piece of work with written deliverables and a defined end — an assessment, a strategy, an evaluation, a curriculum, a dashboard.

Phased programs

Longer initiatives delivered in sequenced phases, each with its own deliverables and decision point before the next phase is committed.

Subcontract work packages

Discrete packages delivered under a prime contractor’s program, with acceptance criteria and reporting aligned to the prime’s requirements.

Specialized advisory support

Senior expertise engaged for a defined period to support an internal team through a specific decision or implementation.

Consistent across every engagement

What you can expect

Defined scope

Written deliverables, acceptance criteria and a defined end point, agreed before work begins.

A named engagement lead

One accountable person from scoping through closeout, not a rotating account team.

Evidence-based recommendations

Findings grounded in what we observed and measured, with limitations stated plainly.

Documented handover

Procedures, training and operating documentation so your organization owns what we build.
